Shoreline Contractors, Inc. – Marine Construction

Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Multiple jobsite locations along Lake Erie’s coastline

Schedule: 40+ hours per week, Monday – Friday

Summary:

At Shoreline Contractors, Inc., we are experts in quality Marine Construction, and we have been serving the needs of individuals, associations, and government entities along Ohio’s North Coast for over 45 years. We are looking for Heavy Equipment Operators to join our skilled Marine Construction and Erosion Control team, and to work in the field on our ongoing projects. We welcome a variety of skilled labor and operating experience.

Responsibilities:

· Operate, drive, and control heavy marine construction equipment including Excavators and Front-End Loaders.

· Load/Unload equipment from vehicles.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma/GED (Preferred)

· Prior experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator

· Prior experience in marine construction (Preferred)

Title: Welder/Fabricator

Location: Multiple jobsite locations along Lake Erie’s coastline

Schedule: 40+ hours per week, Monday – Friday (Overtime after 8 hours in a working day)

We are looking for Welder/Fabricators to join our skilled Marine Construction and Erosion Control team, and to work in the shop and in the field on our ongoing projects. We welcome a variety of skilled welding and fabrication experience.

Responsibilities:

· Measuring and cutting materials to specifications.

· Stick/MIG Welding

· Operating tools, machinery, and welding equipment.

· Shop and field welding and fabrication

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma/GED (Preferred)

· Prior work experience or education/training in welding

· Prior experience in marine construction (Preferred)

Shoreline Contractors, Inc. – Marine Construction

Title: Assistant Office Manager

Start Date: August/September 2022

Location: Amherst, Ohio

Summary: The Shoreline Contractors, Inc. Assistant Office Manager will offer the organization support in running the daily
administrative operations of the office. Areas of support may include but will not be limited to customer
service, job schedule tracking, accounts receivable/payable operations, purchasing, human resources
operations, and more. The Office Assistant will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with
shifting priorities whilst maintaining a high level of organization and detail. t

 

Responsibilities:

• Work to maintain an organized office and assist staff members in order to optimize procedures.
• Update and maintain the Shoreline Contractors, Inc. Job Schedule/Calendar on a daily/weekly basis to
ensure accuracy.
• Sort and distribute mail communications and documents in a timely manner.
• Field incoming customer and vendor calls as they are received and perform other front office
responsibilities as needed.
• Offer administrative and operational support to the President and other key staff of the organization in
the areas of estimate preparation, materials ordering, customer issue resolution, etc.
• Offer administrative support to the Chief Administrative Officer in the areas of accounts
payable/receivable coordination (invoicing, bill entry, reporting), Human Resources, back-office
operations, facilities, etc.
• Perform data entry within Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
• Work closely with and receive assignments from the Shoreline Contractors, Inc. Board. Perform
research, analysis and reporting as needed for the Board, and attend and prepare Board Meeting
Minutes.
• Perform business forecasting, planning, and productivity improvements.
• Work to build and maintain trusting relationships with staff members, customers and vendors.

Note: The above is not an exhaustive list of role responsibilities, and this position may be asked to support
other ad hoc projects as needed

 

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business field highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience as a front- or back-office assistant, administrative/executive assistant, or
another relevant administrative support function.
• Experience in a financial setting and/or in construction industry highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
• Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of office coordination procedures and daily office operations.

• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to perform distant operations of field
staff.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
